Whenever I bring the topic up to close friends (I don’t have many) they change the subject pretty quick. It’s good to be here but it’s different talking to family and friends face to face and trying to help them understand why I’m “weird” or “different” and why sometimes I can’t do things. It’s so sad and frustrating.
My heart goes out to you
It’s a tough world.
Don’t bring it up and that is cool. It’s strange and weird and people think you have multiple personalites or other strange things. It’s no biggie!
Just be friendly. Listen to their shite and talk your shite and keep the strange stuff out of the equation. It’s hard for people to deal with.
I have half a dozen people I’ve known since high school who I’m still friends with. Most saw me go psychotic. Most are crazier than me but we talk about other stuff. That is important. Sz is an issue but you get support here for sure…just be friendly till you meet people who can deal with stuff other than menial stuff!
I agree with rogueone… I’ve always felt that disclosing too much infringes on boundaries. Keep it on a need to know basis.
