Going on a cruise ship is like walking into a giant Petri dish
I mean this last cruise was to Florida and the Bahamas and although I enjoyed the ship and beach I also got Covid from going
Last time it was in Bermuda and I suffered from heat exhaustion in Bermuda
And the first cruise again to the Bahamas I caught a terrible stomach bug
No more cruises for me so it seems.
And from now on in public places me and my dad are going to wear masks
I’m also getting my Covid and flu vaccines as soon as I can.

I don’t wish Covid on my worst enemy!

My sister and her boyfriend got covid when they went on an Alaska cruise last year. Passengers had to have a negative covid test to board the cruise but that clearly did not make a difference.

My folks just came back from a cruise. Both are infirm.

Both got a terrible chest infection which tested negative for covid.

Mum also developed awful gastroenteritis

I am imploring them never to set foot on a cruise ship again

When covid was first a thing it was going through cruise ships like a hot knife through butter and it was obvious it was airborne. Cruise ships have learned to contain novovirus through excellent surface decontamination protocols and upgraded materials that resist transmitting infection. Covid wouldn’t have gotten any traction on cruise ships if it was a surface spreader.
