No matter how much someone loves you or not

Haha. Thanks. I thought I shouldn’t complain.

It was said because she was annoyed with me. There was a lot of high expressed emotion going on before I started living independently. I loved my mother but she wasn’t always good to me. A compliment would often be followed by 2 criticisms. She’d tell me I was an awkward baby/toddler/child/teenager etc. She could be vile when drunk. Sadly she never admitted she had a drink problem it was a case of ‘I drink because of …’. My Dad wasn’t a paragon of virtue he thumped me on a couple of occasions.

Wow. Im really sorry to hear that fella. Its a bit similar to me. Never visited me when i was in the ICU with malnutrition, and died twice. But my God - she was an ambulance chaser for the attention lol.

But in the few posts, ive read from you. You seem to be doing ok?

In situations like that - all you can do is forgive them in the end. Or it will eat you up and you will become resentful
