I like watching storms too! We get very little rain in Oakland, California. My old hometown of Springfield, Virginia had lots of great storms and a blizzard every now and then, too… I guess I may never build another snowman

I love photographing them. Sure wish we could have a few. Only two so far. One didn’t last long enough to set up a camera and the second had such high winds I couldn’t. Need one that comes in slow with lots of fireworks.

usually storms here mean tornado watch so we are usually waiting for the sirens to go off so we can pack into my bedroom closet WITH the dogs…hot and uncomfortable…storms used to make my day, now with all the tornadoes these springs and summers it takes all the joy out of it for me.

That would be scary. We rarely have serious tornadoes.

We got some doozies in summer. Hail and lightning. I love the storms as it’s usually so bloody hot that they cool everything down.

Today during the day was unbearably hot with the extreme humidity. The storm really helped. Tomorrow is much nicer. Warm but not hot and humid.
