News on radio helps loneliness

And I’m not the only recluse who listens to NPR ( Natural public radio ) and the BBC World news. I’ve heard of other people in even more extreme isolation. Why do you think this is?

I used to listen to some NPR shows. I stopped. I love the music and the intro to that program. Really got me going.

I don’t listen to news. Part of it is hearing issues and the other part is that I am a speed reader and dislike reducing my input speed to that of human speech. Too slow.

I like hearing the news, learning about what’s happening in the world. Lately I keep getting bad news though

I listen to NPR all the time, I like “all things considered” weak days at 4 to 630. I like BBC news as well. Does help with loneliness :pensive:

Sometimes I listen to the radio, but moreso I like to watch the evening news on tv on the national channel. I think it’s because the news people aren’t acting, so it gives a sensation of being around real people.

I have the radio on a lot and it helps with things like loneliness and boredom, even craziness in my head
