I was just taken off geodon and I just started Vraylar today. After about 3 hours I became very resltess, angry, a horrible ringing in my ears started and have tachycardia. I don’t know if this will go away after I’ve been on it longer or I should call my doctor? Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated. I can’t handle this ringing in my ears and the voices.
Why were you taken off geodon?
It’s didn’t help the voices and so called “””delusions””” I’ve tried several other antipsychotics and none of them seem to work. I’m so tired of medication changes and my psychiatrist always says “this is the best”. It’s really frustrating and is draining all the hope out of me.

I too have uncomfortable symptoms when i am new to meds
This is the first time I’ve had symptoms starting a new med. Does it go away for you?

I too had terrible ringing in my ears on Vraylar, it got better once I came off but it’s still there 4 months after, though it has gotten lots better.
I was on Geodon as well while trying Vraylar (wasn’t coming off it), so now I’m thinking its those 2 drugs intetacting because you reported the same thing.
Are you on any other meds? Wellbutrin by any chance? I thought it was an interaction with Wellbutrin that caused the ringing for me because Wellbutrin is known to cause ear ringin and Vraylar itself should not cause it.
