For a while now I’ve been thinking about getting a skull on the middle of my upper back, turned partly to the side to show dimension. I would want there to be some reddish-orange coloring with some black shadowing making it look like the skull is being lit up by an orangish light.
I came across this last night:

I would make some major changes to it, especially when it comes to the eyes and nose. The eyes would be normal empty sockets, not sure what’s going on with that eyebrow-looking ridge, and the nose just plain could be done better. I think with this style I could still do the coloring and shadowing and it would look good.

I always wanted one on the back of my neck. Only bc I really like it. People seem to not like it or approve though 
So maybe this I could get on the side of my rib cage if I do. I will get a lot more tattoos by next year.
Why do you want to get a skull tattoo?
I’m not sure what exactly it is that appeals to me, but I do think, if done right, they can look really cool. So, it won’t be as meaningful as some of my other tattoos, but rather just a piece of artwork on me.

That thought had occurred to me. I have plenty of time to think on this; it will be months before I have money to spend on a tattoo, have too many other bills to pay on right now.

I know you know what that effect looks like but I found a good example of it… I didn’t realize how many people have bad skin rip tats… but there are probably more crap tats in the world over all than awesome ones…
I have a blue band around my left wrist… it was supposed to have celt and veeking designs and symbols bordering and running through it…but I took a break to go get something to eat and I came back and the dude was being arrested…so now I have just a blue band… lol… atleast I can get in to the local fair for free now… that’s the next piece I need work done to… also need to get my littlest ones name done on my left forearm to match up with my oldest ones name on my right arm…

im on the fence about this one… the tat on the side of her head can be covered up if she lets her hair grow out… and the crown piece doesn’t look terrible… is this an acceptable face tat?
my grandma has her eyebrows tatted on… but this fool tatted a dam unibrow and weird mustache…lol that tear drop mean r.i.p. his eyebrows lol

I have a tattoo of a flower.
I also want to get of skulls and a few other things and possibly of my dog and horse too.
No peace signs on me. I have a black psi that has green around it, but no peace signs. Sorry, wasn’t sure if you were talking to me or to lostinthespace.
@flameoftherhine, this got me thinking about getting this sort of tattoo, with the ripped skin effect. Maybe something along the lines of this pic, except for orange or reddish-orange in place of the red, plus I’d have the mouth a little different, as well as some minor changes. It would still go on the middle of my upper back.

thats awesome… what if… it looked like a ripped someone elses skin that looks stitched on your skin that has a cool skull tattooed on it…lol…
