Has anyone else been seeing the commercials for this new schizophrenia Med.? Have you heard anything? I found it promising that at least there was finally a commercial for schizophrenia
I think I have seen that ad on Facebook,
but I didn’t look into it.
some people still prefer
the older AP’s.
It being new, I’m just curious to see if it works differently than the existing antipsychotics. There is another new drug coming out, they are already in clinical trials with humans and it works on a different receptor altogether. It sounded promising from what I read
Just did a search and it does not sound good
I personally don’t know much about. Haven’t really researched it fully. I probably will get a handle on it eventually.
I was just excited to see schizophrenia addressed on television. It was a very positive spin
In which country this has been addressed?
I’m in Canada …
It’s a pity it failed phase 3 trials.
It is on in the USA as well.
Yea some members here are on Caplyta.
Most of the people on here who have been on it ended up seitching due to increased anxiety or nightmares, I believe. Some folks seem to like it, though. It does at least sound like it delivers on the promise to help with weight loss.
You saw this commercial on a tv in Canada? I don’t think its approved yet in Canada
I took Caplyta for 3 weeks. I didn’t have any side effects, but I found it to be very weak, and it did not touch my positive symptoms at all. Would not recommend.
@revv it may not be okayed for Canada yet. I have seen this issue before, since we receive primarily US television here. So we get some overlap as far as what is available here
Thanks for the heads up @anon40540444 . I still find it promising that schizophrenia is being addressed in a tasteful, realistic way on commercials.
It’s a good sign, much overdue
I hate pharmaceutical ads. So slimy
But I liked the pharmacokinetics of lumateperone when I was real bad and looking up stuff
Has Good serotonin profile
I tried Caplyta and it didn’t do s*** for me. It just didn’t work. I seem to be med resistant, though. It’s my 3rd time trying Latuda! I’m on that now. I’m out of options… I am forced to re-try meds from my past. Seems like nothing works well enough. Caplyta was worthless, though (for me). Maybe it’ll be good for you, though? Everybody is different.
Latuda and Zyprexa never worked for me. No positive symptoms now on 6mg Risperdal. Idk how much I should believe in studies as they say that Zyprexa is more effective than Risperdal which wasn’t true for me.
Latuda worked better than Zyprexa and sudies say Latuda is the weakest AP.
