I canā€™t think of any hidden gems atmā€¦ but ā€˜Contactā€™ (1997) is so great. Iā€™ll bet youā€™ve seen it already though

ZARDOZ is a wonderful sci fi flick starring Sean Connery. He made another good sci fi flick about mining on a moon, I canā€™t remember itā€™s name though.

I just re-watched it after about 10 years

Donā€™t care what people say about the 2nd/3rd ones - I still like the trilogy

The Cell is pretty cool. Event Horizon also. Not sure if theyā€™re available on any subscription services.

There is a very old science fiction movie named ā€œBlade Runnerā€ that is good. You might try that.

interstellar is extremely thought provoking, and has lots of good elements to it. the soundtrack is also excellent. definite recommend
