Dune is good, if you’re okay with the movie being old. Same thing with Logan’s Run.

I thought the new Blade Runner kind of sucked. The original four Alien movies are pretty good, though perhaps a bit formulaic.

Have you heard of a movie called Chronicle? It’s about a trio of high school friends who get superpowers. It’s really good.

When I was an amateur astronomer in my teens I loved the movie Contact. I wish I could see it again! I love the scene when she’s travels to Vega and on this beautiful beach.

Another brilliant sci fi film is Moon (2009). It made me cry at the end.
