lets comment now…
Where? At home I offer drinks and talk. On here I say welcome and offer support or sometimes truth if needed.
Im a horrible hostess - i always listen or speak with all my attention so that i forget to offer drinks, food, etc. Until i feel thirsty myself. I do other things though. I helped refugees with language and practical stuff. I listen to peoples stories. Such things.
I make my brother in law tea when he visits. We sometimes eat fruit too
I’m a terrible hostess too. I always forget to offer drinks and food. That’s because all of my support people, such as nurses, social workers, peer support people, music instructors, etc… always turn offers of food and drink down.
I let them use the non expired coffee cream. Well, usually.
Offer drinks and later some snacks.
Tell them sit down make yourself at home. Give them control of the tv and ask if they would like anything to drink.
On the forum I try to say hi to new comers and let them know they aren’t alone in their suffering. In the real I never really thought about it, my visitors always seemed at home because we are very casual here. We don’t keep soda in the house so it’s coffee or bottled spring water and you can help yourself lol.
I think im a good hostess.
