My View: Mental illness is a medical issue

There are over 100 million people in the world with some type of neurological disorder including psychosis, dementia and brain trauma. Last year, as every year, over 30,000 people in this country became the victims of suicide. Mental Illness is an epidemic. It is the deadliest disease in America. Unlike AIDS, cancer, heart disease and other chronic illnesses for which we have dramatically reduced the mortality rate, we don’t need to spend billions of dollars on research to find a cure for mental illness. We know how to treat it.

The lack of progress comes from two issues. First the business side of the healthcare system is not designed to solve this problem. People are taking notice of that issue, and I hope we will solve it. However, the more important issue is that nobody wants to believe or admit that they have mental illness.

In my view,there is a different between the neurosis diseases and psychosis .
The neurosis disease,is the neurological disorder who have a clear cause (anatomical changes,abnormal chemistry…etc},they are genetic diseases,the patient has realize the
world around him normally but his responses are not suitable in most of cases

Psychosis,is the disorder that have not a clear cause,a group of symptoms have not actual anatomical /chemical causes,they classified as functional illness /disease /illness,this like the schizophrenia,the person has realize the world around him with unusual believes

The symptoms of neurosis diseases are vary different about the symptoms of psychosis illness,the first is symptoms have a cause,the second is a symptoms without materialist,organic or chemical cause ,then, the treatment is not the same

the person with sz can lives his life without medication,and there is a chance to improve his thoughts /behaviors,while the neurosis patient can not lives his life without medication (clear genetic disease}

In sum
The neurosis disease {neurological disorder } is a bodily disease causing a disorder in the behaviors and the responses to the feelings and the daily life events.
In other expression,it is psychological disorder by action of biological causes

While the psychosis is a psychological disorder without biological causes ( it is psychological illness or mental illness or functional illness ),it is not bodily disease
