My thoughts about schizophrenia and self-control

Hello! What I have noticed is that some things about self control is actually helpful with my illness.
The fact is - we, people, only control ourselves. And when we focus on that, only on ourselves, and on what we actually can do - life gets easier. Maybe, because of schizophrenia my thoughts are less controlled, sometimes emotions are not as controlled as it was… but knowing the fact, that I cannot and shouldnt control anything except myself - helps me. There are many articles on this topic, “you can only control yourself”, and one very good is “the only 50 things you can control” or smth.
If you are interested you should read it. Actually even the idea calms me down, when things gets tough.
Maybe it is so because i am overall a bit a control freak - but knowing that the only person I need to take care of is me, really calms me down… good luck guys with your schizophrenia’s <3 (and sorry for far perfect english)

Welcome to the community I guess.

Thanks. Where is the real problem? I know I am new here, therefore I live with SZ from 2016.

1992 for me.

It’s considered good Nettiquette to introduce yourself in online communities first.

A few tips on things that confuse newbies:

Cake day is the anniversary date of when you joined.

The 1515 or other numbers at the end of peoples posts are because there’s a 15 character minimum to post. So people put 15s after until they get to the minimum characters to post.
