The only way I tan well is if I get a little bit at a time to work my way up. Too much at once and I burn. But I don’t spend much time in the sunlight anyway since I have become a vampire.
I only tan my upper body in summer months
A long time ago, I used to be out in the sun all summer long, and use tanning beds during the colder months.
Honestly, a tanning sesh followed by a cool drink and a ciggy was like the best.
I’ve since stopped tanning and other vices, but will sometimes still lay out in the sun when the weather allows.
Lately though, I’ve really been getting into sunless tanning products. There is absolutely a learning curve involved, and I have come out of the process with such awful streaks and blotches .
But I think now a days, it’s personally more sustainable for my skin— I’m starting to care more about aging and stuff, so sunless tanning kinda helps get the color without the consequences.
I do sometimes catch myself missing tanning and all that comes with it, though.
I’ve got enough color on my skin
I’m half Italian (Sicilian) so I’ve got a light olive complexion
No need for tanning salons
I’m no doctor but I think the true damage comes with extended exposure. I think a little sunlight every day is good as long as you don’t overdo it. Not to argue just saying you’d look beautiful either way so I wouldn’t worry to much
Yea, I think you’re defos right about extended exposure. Also, a concentrated and direct exposure like tanning beds are really rough on the skin.
Sunshine combined with fresh air defos makes most people feel better, and I think there’s something to be said for sitting out in the sun for a little bit each day. Some might argue for using sunscreen, but that’s up to each individual in the end.
Haha, that is very kind of you to say @POET, right back at ya
I tan so easily and quickly with my skin type. Love the sun but can burn in spots too.
