My step dad was a real cowboy...I worked on his cattle ranch

I lived with my mom on her cattle ranch when I first got stable…that’s where I started writing my book. anyways…my step dad back in his prime before his aneurysm, could knock out jerks with one punch…one time my mom and Don were walking into a ballroom bar and this guy was slapping his woman. Don told him if he did it again he would hurt him…the guy slapped the woman again, and Don put him down with one punch…bam. the woman thanked him. anyways…after Don had his strokes and aneurysm, he recovered enough to be able to customize his tractor so he could climb up with only one good leg…had all his cattle gates customized by a welder so he could tie and untie the gates with one hand…awesome character…wise…I miss him…more than my own father.

My daughter (age 12 here) does not want to work with cattle again for the rest of her life.

My daughter had a friend on the ranch neighbouring my in-laws. She and her friend were bombing around in the side-by-side doing chores. Eleven-year-olds on the loose!

The calf was half of a pair of twins and was rejected by its mother.
