Yeah, Rite-Aid bought up the chain of drugstores that in the seventies were called Thrifty’s. When I was a kid a big treat was getting ice cream at Thrifty’s. You could get one scoop for a nickel and two scoops for a dime.
The Rite-Aid near me actually still has an ice cream counter but I don’t know how much they charge.

the Riteaid here has a thrifties ice cream counter. It’s like $3 for an ice cream now.

It is, but there’s no place else to get ice cream here and I do love thrifties ice cream. I remember it from when I was a kid too.
