What to do? I haven’t had the urge for a long time. Thing is I’m single, so it’s not a big deal. I’m just afraid of meds causing permanent damage. It could be age also…
I’m on olanzapine, vraylar and paxil.
I used to have sexual dysfunction issues but ever since I had meds adjustment, I no longer have those issues so perhaps talking to your Doctor might be the best solution.

If you tell your pdoc they can put you on a med where you don’t get ED side effects. I think apiprazole and geodon don’t give you ED. I could be wrong. I would check with the pdoc. I know if I start dating I’m gonna have my pdoc switch my meds.

Doc told me it’s probably olanzapine causing ED when I asked him a couple years back. But it wasn’t this severe as it’s now. Right now it’s dead.
Im not switching meds because olanzapine is keeping my deluded thoughts at bay.
I’m not ready to date. I still hear voices and I’m paranoid.
I guess I’m a Buddhist monk from now on…

Last few weeks my sex drive has calmed down …don’t know why tho

Mine has calmed too. It was out of control when I first got off invega. I think I’ve normalized these days.

My sex drive is non existent, the Paliperidone raises the prolactin in your body and that kills the sex drive, could also be my age. I barely think about sex.

I couldn’t care less about sex now, even though my sex drive is fine, it’s more annoying having a sex drive for me.

I’ve been on APs since i was 17…never even had a sex drive. I’m 50 years old and still a virgin. Altho, when i was taking testosterone i have to confess it was all i could think about and i…umm…shall we say pleasured myself at least 3 times a day until they discontinued it!
