My prescription has expired

My psych sent me my prescription, and I asked her at least three weeks in advance to send it because I know the post is super slow here. It arrived a few days ago, and lo and behold, it’s past it’s expiry date.
I have an appointment with her on the 9th, and I doubt she can get the prescription to me via mail by that time.
And she can’t send it to me digitally because I don’t have a phone, nor a Greek phone number.

I’m so frustrated.
Last time I had to go three weeks without meds, I got a bit funny in the head.

most meds past expiration date are still safe to take, the common thing is that it might not be as potent as before but usually thats not even much of a big deal

I think she means expired prescription paper, she’s can’t get meds with an expired prescription. He pdr needs to write a new one.

Aziz is right, it’s the prescription paper that’s expired, so they won’t give me the meds

Do a search for your medication.
Try “Shelf life of …”. Or similar searches. I know a lot of food is good past it’s expiration date and stuff like toothpaste and shaving cream have expectation dates too but they’re still good weeks after they expire.
Yeah look it up! It’s the reason me and Al Gore invented the internet in the first place.

Can’t she fax the pharmacy? That’s how it works here. The doctor calls the pharmacy directly.

My doctor sends scripts via his computer. I tell him what pharmacy I use and he sends them that way. He has called in scripts as well before. Does your pdoc insist on mailing scripts?

My pharmacist sometimes renews my prescription by faxing the pdr.
