My pdoc wants me to stay on the shot

She says she wants me to stay on it another month. She’s also researching why it triggered hot flashes since I stopped having them 2 years ago

No. I just started the Haldol shot 2 months ago. She wants me to see if in a month my side effects subside. If not, I’ll go back on pills since they didn’t do that to me

Good luck! I hope your hot flashes go away. I had those for a while, even though I’m in my 20’s. It was unpleasant and also really weird, because of my age. But they’re no fun.

Yeah. I had my ovaries removed 10 years ago. I had hot flashes for 8. They finally went away. As soon as I got the Haldol shot, they returned with a vengeance. I wake up drenched and super hot several times a night. Plus I get them during the day. It’s bizarre because APs like Haldol usually make you sweat less. I’m sweating a lot more

Get back on the Haldol pills if you avoid the side effects you mentioned.

Yeah @columbus. I talked to my pdoc today. She wants me to be on it another month and a half in case side effects go away before switching to pills

I am hot all the time now. I think it is the Wellbutrin. My face is sweaty so often.
