Maybe next time your of the moment try to get him to elaborate. There are many cool things that can come with this territory. Being unique is one.
Put another way I’d bet if you told him that you don’t think he’s weird that would make him Feel BAD!!!

He thinks I have quirks and like different hobbies that makes me weird. He thinks he’s weird cos he’s a guy who likes things like knitting. Ok maybe that is a little different though not weird to me I kinda like that he doesn’t care what others think.

I think my family thinks I’m weird. I don’t do their ordinary but I like what I consider ordinary, so it doesn’t bother me. It’s just nice when weird meets weird.
If it bothers you let him know. But I’m also betting he’s meaning it in a positive way. Me and my bf call each other weird and nerds but it’s always a positive thing
