Winter shoes is a good idea though
Much of the year I wear fabric deck shoes, which are not as good in the rain!

Where I live in canada we have snow from november to march and much of January and February are extremely cold (-30°c or colder). Last winter I just wore slip on canvas shoes but it was awful. This will be much better.
