It was a rollercoaster
Being in this place
I guess never a dull moment
Is supposed to be
Better than bored.
The only thing is
I don’t get bored
I get thoughts
That make me wish
I knew how to be bored.
So I grab my phone
Check Facebook
Check the forum
Check Facebook
Check the bank accounts
Check Facebook
In a never ending cycle
Of futility
Waiting for the muse
To wake up and speak her words
Into my ear
Write it down
Put those words down
Exactly as they flow
Put them down
And so it flows
Like ink from a well
Out of my brain
And onto the page
And so begins the cycle
