Yes, on occasion @Wave . Everyone is always suspicious about him. But I am going to tell you what I tell everyone else.
I am the one that approached him in a group, not he me.
. I video chat with him and the kids he feeds and teaches 2 or 3 times a week. Almost always on every Saturday night.
He has hundreds if not thousands of pics and videos of what he is doing in India on his facebook page, dating well before I met him.
He has never pressured me to send him any money.
I was cautious and suspect in the beginning but I have yet to see any hint of catfishing
I’ve talked to his mother, father and the kids he helps live on video chat. (as much as the limited English of some of them permits)
He teaches the the kids songs and stuff and stuff that would take ages to teach a large group of children.
Reverse image search on Google turns up nothing on him.
Could I it be that Im being scammed…yes…which Im quite sure is what you are going to say…is it likely that someone has this advanced of a scam…no. It’s not worth the time for the limited amounts Ive sent, unless hes doing it to others as well…which seems unlikely since I approached him.
Everyone I mention it to, thinks Im being scammed initially, but none of them have talked to him live like I have.
If its a scam, it is advanced like nothing Ive ever seen.
What I see is that you’re aware of the situation. You’re being logical. So if you want to send your money to him, then there’s nothing wrong with that. It sounds like it’s small amounts of money anyway. Just stay aware like you are and it should be ok.
You’ve been given permission to befriend this guy. For the record my mom helps overseas children monetarily and knits outfits for them. She uses missionary organizations to get in touch with the villages. So there are very safe ways to help overseas families in need.
