My father is feeling flu like symptoms, headache, shortness of breath a couple of days after he received the Moderna vaccine on Saturday.
I guess it’s to be expected but I feel bad for him.
It should last a couple of days.
Did he get his first one or second one? The first is not supposed to make you sick.
I heard Dr. Fauci had side effects after his second shot.
His first shot and it can still make you sick but usually not as bad as the second shot.
My father is very old and fragile.
I think the vaccine is a weaker version of covid made to stimulate immune response. Side effects are expected for those with weaker immune system like the elderly.
It’s not a live virus in the vaccines. @Aziz
I’m sorry your dad is sick. I hope he didn’t actually get covid while going in for his shot. Hopefully it’s just for a day or two and he starts feeling better
Yes it can still make you sick.
The nurses told him this before his vaccination.
He took some Tylenol and is feeling better.
Everyone was masked and socially distant.
It’s a hospital so they take precautions.
I doubt he contacted Covid but yes this was on my mind as well.
It’s most likely side effects from the vaccine.
He started feeling unwell soon after the shot.
Well I hope he recovers quickly
Thanks @LilyoftheValley
From what I know that means the vaccine is working; you would have an immune system response as your body is learning to fight off the virus as if its real and learn to defend against it. I’m still nervous about it but I know it’ll be awhile before I get vaccinated anyways.
If the symptoms continue for longer than a week (as my nan was told ) then to seek help … hope he gets better
Thanks guys but he feels a lot better today.
I was worried about him yesterday.
I’m glad he’s better
Glad to hear your dad is feeling better.

Thanks @LilyoftheValley and @ThePickinSkunk
