If I only have anxiety and paranoia do I really have schizoaffective disorder? The paranoia gets bad when I smoke weed but that’s about it.

Paranoia is a weird thing.
Its not a question of whether or not you have it,
More what kind you have.
Like you being paranoid about driving when your plates just expired is normal,
Being paranoid that aliens are implanting thoughts in your brain is different.
Similar deal with anxiety, its about what is making you anxious (or a lack of things, I guess).
Why smoke if you know the weed is making everything worse?

You could probably easily test this hypothesis by not smoking weed for a prolonged period of time and seeing if your psychotic symptoms go away.
