My 74 year old daddy was cutting down a tree and feel off his ladder. He broke several rib bones which punctured one of this lungs. He is at the hospital for a couple days. These are the kind of things that are so stressful. He is receiving good care but I"m just afraid he will be worse. Good thoughts to my dad please. I am having my disabled sister at my house so mom doesn’t have to worry about her. Oh man!!!

Would it be insensitive to keep the date night with my hubby tonight? I feel like I’m not putting my family first…My mom was insistent that we go but I dunno. I want to be there for my family right now.
Go! Nobody benefits if you cancel. It might be a good way to relax from the stressful stuff and come back happier to your family.

Thank you Marian. I’m just super stressed out. There’s alot going on with my health and now he is in the hospital too. I might not enjoy going out.

I just did something similar. Escaping the stress by having a fun afternoon with a friend. It helped me.
Perhaps it might be the same for you…if you can really have attention for each other, it might be good to go out and have some distraction? I understand if it doesnt feel good though.

Nah, we’re just going to see the Avenger’s movie. We rarely go out together because of the children. It’s alright. We’ll spend more time together once the kids are older.

I do have to say that’s something nice about having older kids. We go to Applebee’s for their half price appetizers (after 9pm) whenever we feel like it.
