He has been battling cancer for years, but he’s near the end now, in a hospice. I hope they make it as painless for him as they can, but then that’s much of what the hospice does, making patients comfortable in their last days.
But yeah, it won’t be long until he passes, like in the next couple days.
It’s sad because he’s such a good man, always been a great cousin. Two years ago, when I was struggling terribly and couldn’t pay my January rent, when he heard of it he sent me a check for $400. I was blown away by that, but that’s the kind of man he is. He and his wife are not wealthy.
It’s hard to let go of good people. I’ve been there. Most of us have but think of them as you move on. I’m sure you’d help out your cousins if you were wealthy too. He sounds a great person.
I grew up with little money but a lot of emotional support. That shite really is what is more important in the scheme of things. Sorry your cousin is struggling and all. Much peace.
