My car is cursed

$1700 for a new catalytic converter and part of exhaust. That was 2 weeks ago. Now my alternator has gone bad. Getting that fixed today. I swear my car is cursed. Something goes wrong with it at least once a month at this point

Oh, man, that’s awful. My husband’s car had the AC break. It was broken for months. We kept taking it back to the dealership, over and over, until they finally figured out what was wrong.

It was expensive and that was our only car, at the time, so we had to drive in the middle of summer with no AC! 100 degrees Fahrenheit, outside.

Anyway, I hope you don’t have to spend too much more on your car.

As soon as I get enough for a down payment I’m gonna trade my car in and put in the down payment and just get a new one

How old is your car? I had a nearly fifteen year old car. It was just too old to keep going.

I’m through with cars. I sold mine last year. I’m more dependent now, but that’s ok with me.

Such a bad time to need a new car with the super inflated prices on used and new cars.

Honestly yeah, it’s a shame that my car chose now to do this to me

I need a car for work. A huge part of my job is driving. Plus I love being able to drive

I hope you get it fixed or another car. Buses are pain in the asses.

Buses are the worst in the US. I had to rely on buses.

Tell me about it. Lol it takes two hours to get anywhere.

I hope fixing your car doesn’t burn a whole in your wallet.

I sometimes get paranoid about certain items at thrift shops being haunted. Books and clothes are fine, but religious and tribal artifacts are a big no no for me.

I had a 2002 Toyota that finally died in May 2020. It lasted 18 years which is good for a car. I can’t afford another one so I ride the busses now.

Could be worth saving. Hondas hold their value, so if it doesn’t become a sinkhole you should be good.

Welcome to vehicle ownership. The freedom is great, the repairs, gas and insurance suck! lol

I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. I’ve replaced the engine, all 4 shocks, the alternator, the radiator, the exhaust system, the tires, the breaks, the battery twice, and the water pump.

Turns out I needed a new alternator, belt, battery, and a few wires replaced. It’s running me a pretty penny for sure
