My brother is my age (56) and has abused his body with meth and pain pills his whole life and now he just got out of two weeks in ICU and sent home to die…they give him six months to live…my mother is going on every day off she has from work. She says he doesn’t recognize people anymore so I am not going, I just can’t. he has sores all over his body from an allergic reaction to some meds the hospital gave him. Anyways, at one time we were inseperable in the oilfield before college…before he got into meth and pain pills…he was such a funny guy always cracking me up singing made up dirty lyrics to songs that would come on the stereo. I will miss him.

Sorry jukebox, I am very close with my brother… and couldn’t imagine life without him. But I’m only 39 and I know life has away of separating people. At any rate, I’m sorry.

@disciple thank you…to be honest my brother has had severe contention with my mom over estate from when my step dad (my dad) died a couple years ago…now that mom is by his side I don’t know if it’s just because he can’t recognize her or he honestly has forgiven her but he squandered a lot of money and land that my mom gave him so he just wanted more. He wasn’t speaking with my mom before this happened…it’s happened all so quickly. anyways…I was worried that Don, my brother might hurt my mom over it, so this is kind of a relief that that’s taken out of the equation.
