My broken ankle

Still hurts. It’s been since Black Friday.

When I had X-rays done after the 1st 6 weeks, it showed my break actually went further apart.

They still chose to put me in a brace that stabilizes less than the boot.

I’m wondering if it’s finally starting to close.

I limp when I walk and I need to push through and walk normally regardless of the pain.

How long does it normally take for a broken ankle to heal?

They said my particular break will take at least 6 months but possibly up to a year to heal.

If you’re feeling pain you might be compressing the bone while it’s healing so that concerns me but what do I know I’m sure your doctor told you what’s what

@FreeLunch , they told me it will hurt for up to a year so it’s not from me doing something wrong.

Coco do your best to follow all instructions from the doctor I broke an ankle when I was run over by my elderly neighbor. I walked on it too much and took soon and it still hurts from three years ago.

My sister broke her ankle doing roller derby recently.

I hope your ankle heals as soon as possible, Coco.
