My brain says go and my body says no

I want to get up earlier in the morning so last night I went to bed at 8:30pm and set my alarm for 6:00am. I only got up at 8:00am. That only left me 30 min to wake up enough to drive the kids to school. I don’t know what to do to get up earlier.

Start going to bed early every night and force yourself to get up when the alarm rings. It’ll get easier once you get used to the new routine.

What helps me is putting my phone or my alarm far enough away that I have to get up to turn it off.

Set up two alarms, the second sets off 1 minute after the first one. This should wake you up. Also, don’t cover your windows at night and let the sunlight into your bedroom in the morning. Although in the cold season the sun rises later than 6am, but this works better between May-September.
