Muscle twitching/involuntary body movements

Does anyone ever experience twitches in their muscles and involuntary body movements/jerks? My entire leg will move/jerk, involuntarily… and at the moment my shoulder muscle is twitching every 20 to 30 seconds, drives me crazy.

Im a hypochondriac and this has me thinking I have parkinsons.

Muscle spasms can be for any number of reasons. You’d best see your doctor. It can be anything from vitamin deficiency to dehydration.

Nerve twitching is different. Some meds cause that or you can be developing neuropathy. It’s just best to see a doctor to rule out everything. No sense getting worried unless you need to. (Said only condescending people) lol.

Can be caused by dehydration especially if you start getting intense spasms

I only get muscle twitches and involuntary body movements when I’m withdrawing from stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine.

Hope this helps.

If these are more than twitches then I would definitely talk with your doctor

Hopefully they will rule out Tardive Dyskinesia

When I go to bed after my medication I get akathisia and anxiety and my body gets so tense it’s unbearable and twitches .

I can’t stand it and insomnia to go with it.

It’s better some nights unbearable others.
