there are an infinite amount of universes
there are worm holes’…highways in space
yes you can exist many times over at the same time…but this is unusuall.
normally you live, die, repeat…not necesarily on the same earth or species
there are ten dimensional species…or some species that are literally just gas.
there is an ordered universes and chaos universes.
time travel is ’ real ’ but not in a ’ doctor who ’ way.
and changing the past does change the future.
take care :alien:

Multiple universes is not a delusion I believe so much as a theory I like to entertain.

I am of the firm belief that we are all ‘perpetually alive’ questioning our surroundings in one form or another.

I believe this to the very core of my being. And so I’ve never been afraid of death…because I don’t believe in it.

When I think about multiple universes + multiple possibilities - I f I had done that, instead of what I have done that led me to now, and I think of if I had done that and where it would lead, it expands the space and energy inside of me.

Completely forgot about io9. Good site so is gizmodo and kotaku for games.

Not the best experience on the phone though. This will have to wait.

A little wishful thinking detected. I wonder what my self is doing in an alternate timeline. And would it be possible to reach him? But I believe in some form for it to be true. It comes off sort of quacky all those floating bubbles with galaxies inside. The multiverse. Our universe is boundless. I think a major advance in physics is due. We will find something concrete and groundbreaking soon.

True. Stephen Hawking and others have proposed this theory for decades.

This link has some good info on the Multiverse:

To get a tentative estimate of the diameter of the multiverse, I took the ratio of the diameter of our universe to the average diameter of galaxies. 100 billion light years to 45 million light years comes out to be around 2 million light years. Using this ratio we can guesstimate that the diameter of the multiverse is the diameter of our universe times 2 million, which is 180 quadrillion light years.
Now, we have a guestimate of the diameter of the multiverse, and we know that the ratio of this diameter to the distance between universes is 9000 to 1. To find the average distance between universes, we divide 180 quadrillion light years by 9000 and whoa-- we get the average distance between two universes: 20 trillion light years.

Definitions from Stephen Hawking “The Universe in a Nutshell” ~

Brane: An object which appears to be a fundamental ingredient of M-Theory, that can have a variety of spatial dimensions.

M-Theory: A theory that unites all 5 string theories, as well as supergravity, within a single theoretical framework, but which is not yet fully understood.

Brane World: A 4 dimensional surface or Brane in a higher dimensional spacetime.
From Universe in a Nutshell , pgs. 202 & 205)

Hawking admits, at least as of 2001, that the M-Theory (The theory of Everything) does not have a single formulation, but instead there are a network of apparently different theories that all seem to be approximations to the same underlying fundamental theory in different limits. (pg. 175)
A Brane/Bubble (Sphere) containing Universe(s) could have other Brane/Bubbles formed outside of it, in an ever expanding scenario. (pg 199)

It’s a depressing theory. What it means is that no matter how hard I try, somewhere I’ve left laundry and dishes undone and my wife will be torqued with me. (I know it also means there are places where my work is done, but I guarantee you that every single instance of my wife will remain duly unimpressed by that fact.)

Hi…Yes basically the theory of multiple universes can seen as this…
Its the basis of understanding physical existence also called life…In a multiple model containing several seperate globes or earths, life cannot be seen as being bigger than time, anjd certainly not in ours…Thats why communicating and commiting to such a webpage as this is crucial for those of you who self identify as crazy…
Are you with me…this requires time and tunes into the world of rationality…

she used to be, right?!

Yes 5 years ago.

In addition to the multiple universes created by infinitely extending space-time, other universes could arise from a theory called “eternal inflation.” Inflation is the notion that the universe expanded rapidly after the Big Bang, in effect inflating like a balloon. Eternal inflation, first proposed by Tufts University cosmologist Alexander Vilenkin, suggests that some pockets of space stop inflating, while other regions continue to inflate, thus giving rise to many isolated “bubble universes.”
