You’ll feel safer in an upstairs apartment. I have a 1st floor apartment and every time I watch one of those ring doorbell camera videos at night about weird, bizarre, random people who are crazy or on drugs or something and knock on random peoples doors late at night and try to get in the front door or climb in a window I immediately get up and close and lock the windows. I have an old apartment and it’s set up so it would be so easy for someone to climb in an open window.
