Would you rather live in the mountains or the beach?
Here i have both.
Me too! Cape town has lots of both ,
I live in California and have both.
I grew up on the mountains.
Nature is definitely beautiful, and the air feels so clean.
I would rather live in the mountains, though both options have their good points and bad points.
I used to visit Crimea, a republic in Eastern Europe, on the coast of the Black sea, every year during 2005-2012. When it was “in season”, meaning summer, the coastal cities were lively and beautiful (and expensive).
When it was “out of season”, meaning autumn or, wort-case scenario, the Winter, it turned into a completely different place. Shops were closed, streets were empty, except for the odd sad drunkards, tap water was only turned on in the evening and the morning in most apartments. It felt like a post war city, even decades before the so-called “Crimean crisis”.
I also emphasize that I talk about coastal cities, not the cities closer inland, like their capital.
These experiences turned me against tourism in general and sea vacations in particular. It all just seems like a cruel joke to me and a waste of time.
+++ Although living in a warm climate is convenient. Then again, when Crimeans moved further “north” as they called it, during Winter, they always complained how cold it is, so that was annoying.
Beach because it’s warmer
Hard to decide. I like the beaches because they are warm but I like the beauty of the mountains.
Beach. Living in north shore of Sao Paulo. Tropical forrest. The visuals are unreal. lots of pure air. so much nature. unreal creatures. there was a worm in my livingroom about 50 cms, i saw a insect the size of my foot which looks exactly like a tree branch, had a bat in the house the other day. saw a snail the size of a medium rat. Also waterfalls. Love nature. I prefer the beach but the mountrains are awesome too. You may need a shotgun gun thou on the mountains. Bears and large felines.
I prefer to live an hour away from both. I like to believe my house will still be standing after bad weather and that I don’t have to worry about bears etc lol
Definitely mountains
I like white sandy beaches with light blue water but i have more fun in the mountains.
The beach is nice to relax at
living on a mountain or by the mountains?
Just complementing. I would never kill a bear or a feline unless they decided to kill me. That is why I mentioned the shotgun. Bears and felines are wonderful creatures.
I live near the beach. Mountains, I associate with when I hiked in the Snowdonia area and beautiful as it was, it was also a lot of effort!
Have you ever been to Estonia?
Mountains in winter. Beach in summer. Perfect combo.
Have you ever been to Estonia?
No. I only ever visited Poland and Crimea.
I love the mountains, I’ve visited the Adirondack mountains of New York State and the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts.
Plus I’ve been to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
But there’s something so spiritually energizing about the Ocean and Sea.
I love them both really.
