The most stressful road I’ve driven on is I-4 in Orlando, it’s 10 lanes across in some places I think. I quit driving on it after I had a close call and had a panic attack. I’ve read there’s a 26 lane wide road in Texas (in pic below) and a 24 wide lane road in California.
Bombing through some two lane highway through West Virgina middle of the night only car on the road…fast. Some animal comes bounding out of the woods and right across my path…nearly ran clear off a cliff.
Seriously, I spend a ridiculous amount of time avoiding traffic. I try to take as many back roads as possible. It usually takes me twice as long to get anywhere.
By the way, that photo makes me ill just looking at it.
Coming home from north of San Francisco on Highway 101, two months ago after visiting my very ill mom. I went crazy and shut down. I didn’t look at anybody else, it was just survival. It’s the main reason I was hospitalized. I made that drive twice in a week, 175 miles up through traffic, a 175 miles back through traffic. Twice in a week. Grieving over my mom.
Driving from Trinity East to New Bonaventure, Newfoundland. The road was slick, narrow, in indifferent repair, bordered steep dropoffs with very little shoulder. As much as we loved Newfoundland, can’t say this little side trip was worth it
Black ice that stuff is scary. Not exactly a road but such a pain. And it makes people get all wonky. Like there was this one dude behind another at a stop light, and he drove over the sidewalk to get around the dude in front of him to make a right turn. Funniest driving move ive ever seen. Out of gta or something.
It was on one of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote, near a vulcano, no traffic barriers or anything, just a cliff hanging on the side. The driver of the bus was used to driving in that road so he was driving fast. It was one of the scariest roads I’ve been, number one being in portugal, I mentioned it on this site once. Definetly the most stressful.
