I just found out that I might qualify for more services at my county mental health. They just received a grant to give more help to disabled people who don’t qualify for Medicaid which is what you have to have for any services beyond dr visits and 1 on 1 counseling. I really hope I get it. I might be able to have a peer support specialist and maybe even go back to the clubhouse. I’m really hopeful.
That’s awesome. Hope you get it.
Thanks @GrayBear!
great news pianogal i hope it works out for you
IDK where you are, but in Virginia our county services are very good. I went on a wait list back when I was 22, for Bipolar. Got in a year later and have been receiving discount services ever since. And two out of the three docs I’ve had were great!
I hope you get it, good luck!
Sounds pretty good @LilyoftheValley! Hope this works out for you!
@daydreamer @disciple @agent101g. Thanks! In my area it’s hard to get discounted services. I have Medicare but not Medicaid. All the resources go to people with Medicaid. I can’t even get those services if I pay for them. Well, not a peer support specialist or the clubhouse. I can pay for a case mgr through Medicare and I can also pay for group therapy although I haven’t found the kind of group therapy I need
I hope you get it @LilyoftheValley!
Good luck!
Thanks @Wave!!!
