I read that steroids temporarily increase sex drive but then as the brain gets used to it at higher doses it causes ED sexual dysfunction, gynecomatia etc There is a rebound effect when stopping them where testosterone goes lower than normal.
Also messing with growth hormone or too much testosterone is dangerous as it increases the chance of heart attacks and heart failure/diseases.

Thats a broad term. Steroids can mean several things, your’s is probably corticosteroid for pain and not testosterone or growth hormone used to grow muscles.

My father used to take corticosteroid (cortisone) shots for his knee and hand pain. He eventually had surgery in his hand as thats the next step if steroids don’t work. I think the type of steroids used to build muscles are called anabolic steroids.

They should be like be and catch schizophrenia. No one ever guesses my age right. I’m sixty-one but people constantly think I’m in my early fifties or even late forties. They’re always surprised when I tell them I’m 61.
I didn’t age very much…I have gray hair sprinkled in my hair but my facial hair is white…other than that people guess me a lot younger.
I had a boyfriend who was a bodybuilder and he was also on the cover of a body building magazine.
He was huge.
He was absolutely stunning.
He was world top class.
Never seen a man that big and ripped irl apart from him.
Him and his friends shot each other up with steroids and ate strict diet and went to gym for hours.
My dad thinks my last x took steroids because he had big shoulders and didn’t really exercise much and because he had such a bad temper for no reason.

I’m glad I don’t care. I heard my brother -in-laws are taking testosterone shots.
I take testosterone shots. I’ve had very severe hypogonadism since I was a kid. It’s like during puberty my testicles decided they weren’t going to show up to work and wanted to retire early, which caused a bunch of negative symptoms. It is technically a steroid, and I can’t compete in a bunch of USDA and WADA regulated sports, but it has been a life saver. I don’t take a bodybuilder dose by any means, and the shot I do take puts me in the normal range of someone my age. I went through a proper endocrinologist and not those shady websites that approves just about anyone for testosterone so long as they’re willing to pay.
