I am thinking about doing TRT early this winter.
Has anybody had any experience with this ever?
I’m wondering how it will react with medication and if it will give me more energy to accomplish daily tasks.
If you have any insight, let me know peeps!
My GP told me ten years ago my testosterone was borderline. I told him to stop testing me for it. I’m 52. My body has more hair in some places and less in others than thirty years ago.
Yes I’m having testosterone injections every two weeks. It’s benefits me in many ways and I feel it’s so much worth it.
Good to know @neanderthal . What are some benefits that surprised you, and is increased energy one of them?
And if you dont mind my asking, how old are you?
I was on testosterone for years but im trans so idk if its the same. But i found it made me feel more stable overall
That stability sounds like a nice perk.
I’ve been on trt since January. It’s been an absolute life changer. My levels before were worse than a 90 year old man and I had severe hypogonadism. I went through an endocrinologist instead of an online clinic. My levels are in the normal range and so much has improved.
Thats awesome, what improvement have you seen @Squanchy ?
@Sherlock there are many varying positives to getting testosterone. For me it has made a real difference. You should check the archives as many people have had issues with low testosterone. Just get your levels checked and see if you need it. Good luck.
Oh yes one of the benefits is a little more motivation and energy. Too many to list. I’m only 44 but I was on the low side of the testosterone scale. Mrs.Neanderthal is very happy too.
Thanks @neanderthal , good to know
Oh I def need it. I’m 54 and my T is very low, along with my energy and drive. Now looking forward to TRT. My bloodwork is all done now just waiting on injections I believe.
I took a low dose for a while to treat a hormone imbalance. It didn’t have much effect on my mood, but really helped the physical issues I had.
Thanks @Ninjastar , I’ll take whatever benefits that I can get from it!
From mood to sexual and physical function. I still have depressive episodes, but I bounce back so much quicker. I also feel like I recover a metric crap ton quicker from exercise.
It’s definitely not the fountain of youth, but it just helps me feel normal. I’m only 31, but my testosterone has been low since puberty started. My gonads never showed up for work.
Thanks @Squanchy , that all sounds great. I dont need the fountain of youth but am def looking to feel more normal at 54yo since Ive been feeling more like 80 for a couple yrs now lol .
Im thinking of asking for my test levels to be checked. Sleep, mental clarity and deptession and motivation being the reasons, but would they even consider treatment if needed if im a smoker?
I don’t know. Does smoking cause low T? I would imagine that if your blood test showed lowT that they’d be willing to treat you anyway. They gotta make a buck too.
