Money just burns a hole in my pocket

I want to be better with money and not spend it as soon as I have it but I just start thinking about all the delicious food I could enjoy. And I can’t stop thinking about a pizza now. Darn flea bitten pizza.

I can’t even afford a pocket.

Have you ever tried for one month keeping account of every cent you spend. I’ve heard that can help because you have this moment where it is like ‘Wait I seriously spent $70 on clothes for my dog?’ (Course who wouldn’t want to have pictures of their pet bulldog dressed in a miniature RCMP uniform?)

Yeah money is tight for me these days too.

All I can do now is sing my blues until payday. :sunglasses: :v:

Money is tight for most and I agree with that shite!

Eat healthy. Learn to cook because you control cost and portion control. I love pizza but have only had home cooked ones in the last five months although it’s my cheat food!

It’s important to live within your means so you have money for what is important…ie leisure or hobby’s or something that keeps you going! For me that is expensive gaming computers. Can’t live without so I save my ass off not spending so I can enjoy the fine fruits of spending on something worthwhile.

Unless you win the lotto…operate to a budget and do it soon! It’s the only way to go!

@rogueone @ablue I know this is almost blasphemous. But buy a Bobboli original crust. Put some decent (hopefully organic) sauce and provolone cheese with some toppings. That is freaking awesome and I think better than delivery. I can’t have them very often because bread is the devil but seriously good!

@Futomimi …I’m stuck here in Australia but we found some dirt cheap pizza’s that are great for a base! We load them up with what we like and still eat cheaper and healthier!

Store bought can be so good if you have a decent base with a decent sauce! Add what you like!

Love your work and appreciate the suggestion!

I have noticed that when im not working i spend alot less money. As soon as my sickleave ended i started to spend alot.

When i was on sickleave i was much calmer and more low maintenence.

I can never think long term. Money is tight right now for me too. Just waiting till the end of the month. Then I’m gonna do my taxes and get what’s owed. It will be a good start to build up bank. All I really want for big ticket items is a phone but im only gonna spend 100 on that and I def need a new laptop. I just need to fill my time with a hobby. I have always really wanted to get into cellphone repair.

Yeah @ablue if you like something well enough you’ll save for it!

Learn to cook is a great thing! You learn to eat great and enjoy food. I exist on decent food and if it’s cheap all the better!

It’s a great thing having goals. Set your goals and move towards them. I’ve just built two gaming pc’s in a year. It was expensive but I did without a lot of things to do that!

No better time than start now! You can get some decent budgeting programs free so that may help…otherwise write down what you spend and review it weekly!

Wow thanks for advices. I’ve always been kinda good with tekky stuff. Really cool you’ve built two pcs. I should make a goal list and see how to go about making money at cell phone repair

Have a crack! It’s important to have goals but it’s also important to take meds, eat well and exercise as well.

Wasn’t easy but if you have a go. If you fail. Then you move on to something else but at least you tried! Way better to have had a go and learn rather than worry about what could have been!

I’m the opposite. I save everything to the detriment of my comfort. I get really really anxious if I don’t have enough in savings, which I it much never do because I don’t have a job and it feels like something always comes up. I would rather save everything for an emergency because there are always emergencies.
