Back in 1998 I was working at stocking shelves at Walmart. I was working in the men’s department folding t-shirts when I glanced over to the next department over. I saw a skinny, pale, kind of familiar looking guy looking nervously around in the middle of the department. It was Michael Jackson in the kids section. I went over to introduce myself and I walked right up to him. I said, "Michael Jackson, right? He said,“Yeah, that’s me”. I said, “But what what are you doing shopping alone in this department”? He replied, “I saw a sign that said, " Boys jeans, half-off”!

Lol, it’s an old joke I heard in the eighties.
Oh. Well, I believed it. When I was stressed from overwhelming audience enthusiasm, I used to say things similar without quite knowing what I was saying. For instance, I told the director (male) that I enjoyed working under him. He didn’t laugh in my face but told others how funny it was.

Took me a second because he did have kids and its conceivable someone met him in a clothing store - but of course - much more relevant just after his big issues many years ago. Funny none the less.
