6 dead after stabbing in Sydney… thoughts?
Have you guys woken up to or found this on your evening news feed? RT showed this in their site. Police in charge of that’s going on has said it was mental health related but kept it broad and professional. As they are aware that only a small percent of people with mh issues are ever criminal. Majority of people with mh issues are usually the victim… hoping to have a general chat about the mh and media
The state I live in is nuts. Half the time it’s more shootouts between police and drug induced criminals.
Mental health is becoming a bigger and bigger issue in the world though. It’s sad because I believe there is nothing that be done about it. Most people with mental health issues are just at war with themselves. There is only small percentage of schizophrenics who are actually violent I think, and those ones are actually pretty scary and dangerous from what i’ve seen.
I don’t see too much light shined on mental health though. It’s more something you see in the streets anytime I drive through a big city. I guess the lucky ones find housing, the unlucky ones are street bound and nobody wants to talk about it.
Tbh I hardly see any mh when I go out, probably cause it’s me.
The way I see it operating if you have your health and based on merit is how people will treat you. I want to focus on my health and drop the grog.
What are the dangerous sz people like?

I get that, it might be a demographic thing. I know for a fact where I live it’s a really bad place for crime and mental health issues though.
The violent ones i’ve seen in the hospitals are basically quick to anger, cannot compromise and love to start trouble. Even fights.
I always say there’s never an excuse for acts like this
Completely agree.
I wouldn’t like to be the victim…
Last time I was at the hospital, I was trying to get admitted. Got gaslit into going home of course, but before that was in a waiting room. There was 2 other mental health patients (seemed very nice) and next to us was a security guard/cop with a criminal in a jumpsuit/covered in blood/shackled hands and feet who was mean mugging me the whole time lol. They also transported me in a police vehicle with 2 cops from one waiting room to another.
Just a glimpse into mental healthcare where I live
Yeah the boys! lol…
@anon87144867 ive had a 1-2 visits to emergency, and saw a girl with cuffs and such and police escorting her, not bad looking girl either. But don’t remember too much about that night other than I needed to change meds or dosage
Do you know any form of self defence @anon87144867 ?
@Dudenotperfect Around that time, not really. I knew to stand up for myself. Last time I was hospitalized I had mentioned earlier someone tried to fight me. I said something I can’t repeat and he backed off. Next day he beat someone else in the ward up -_-
But nowadays yeah, I love shadowboxing and wrestle with my cousins, it’s probably a good thing to know how to fight and defend yourself.
Oh wow, that’ll be an impressive title what ever the guy was aiming for. Saying. That I’ve done about 2 years kickboxing, but lately it’s been just at home on the bags lol
@Shhh you said it would be good to learn self defence, I’m thinking just take a beating to preserve life, or let them hit first. That way it’s self defence
@Dudenotperfect Heck yeah man, I love kickboxing too. Usually in fights I prefer to kick. I do calesthnics and work legs just as much if not more than upper body. Plus 6’2 first instinct is to kick/go for their legs lmao.
I wish I had a punching bag for power. Recently after trialing an antidepressant for one day I got super angry and just threw a punch as hard as I could. It was so strong I felt like I could have knocked someone out cold/worried I could have pulled a muscle it was into air and pretty powerful.
But yeah i’m always the last to start ■■■■. I read a cool story though about someone who tried to car jack an MMA fighter… big mistake… lol
You’re 6’2”? @anon87144867
My go to move is like front kick, hook cross… Krav Maga taught me that as it would catch people off guard. Then like the elbows and knees an kick boxing combos are pretty cool.
I came from like an athletic bag ground so really immersed my self in kick boxing. If I had more training I would be better but I got to a level where I felt contempt.
Yeah I’m stuck in my thinking if I beat someone would they come back with more of their friends? I have a big family but we’re the only ones from it living in syd.
@anon40326163 I just barely upgraded my strength training routines to barbells after like a year and a half without. My next goal was either a stationary bike for more cardio, or I think i’d prefer a punching bag of some sorts for kicks/punches.
I think I could do a lot better in that aspect if I actually had something to train with. Shadowboxing is decent cardio but doesn’t really teach someone how to fight or get better at kicking/punching honestly.
For some reason I can’t picture elbowing someon Maybe like a jump into kneeing though. That’d be fun to get better at. I never had thoughts of people bringing friends though, if you legit got it a fight, possible yeah. I don’t think about getting in fights ever, for me it’s more just for fun and staying in shape idk.
Yeah pretty much says it “self defence”! Plus with sz it wouldn’t look too pretty.
@anon87144867 elbows would wreck them, feel your elbow coming in to contact with your face it’s pretty lethal.
I did it for fitness too. Should have bought a kickboxing bag and not a boxing bag. Kicks are pretty limited. We did shadow boxing in kick classes, it was good but I need to upgrade my combos!
I would like to have a punching bag to kick and punch that would be so stress relieving. I never spared with any one because I had vertigo and don’t want another episode. Man I would love to put on some music and work out with a bag to punch and kick now with a cup of coffee.
Nobody can get there aggression out like Jada
Wtf did I just watch @anon40326163
