So both of these meds increase prolactin too much, what side effects has that caused to you ? Have u developed enlarged breasts (gynecomastia) ? Vision problems ? Decreased libido ? What about decreased body and facial hair ?
Any other side effect ?

I had problems with raised prolactin on risperdal. Had sore nipples so moved to zyprexa.
That was a great move for me!
You don’t know till you try it with meds. Have a chat to your shrink. There are options these days and it pays to be proactive with your health. You know better than most when it comes to symptoms and how your doing!

My breasts look quite large which would be nice to look at if they weren’t on me. Vision has always been a problem. I guess it’s worse. Libido? What libido? Well I used to have it I guess. It hasn’t decreased my facial hair and my head is well covered. My chest hairs always looked anemic. No problem there. Two other side effects are weighing tons, and being unable to be normal economically for a lifetime due to the drugs’ prices and the rules of SSi but that’s not really a side effect i guess. I also have really bad constipation at times. But they have been the most effective drugs on the symptoms and that’s a big deal.
Been on paliperadone jab 100 for 2 years now. With Risperadone 2mg as needed with quietiapine 100mg at night. Got slightly enlarged breast tissue and the odd blurry vision - but its not enough for me to want to change meds as the benefits far outwiegh having it.
I take 12mg paliperidone. The Side effects include weight gain, sexual dysfunction, dizziness and heightened prolactine levels. Nevertheless, for me it is the most effective drug against voices.

I cant ejaculate nearly as much as i use to. My sex drive was through the roof before APs. Oh yea and ive gained like over 60lbs lost 30 then gain that 30 back. Im not going to say this stuff will happen to everybody but theres a chance of it happening. Yo u got to like live at the gym and watch everything you eat if you taking an AP. They dont know how but APs can cause weight gain. Its good to develop an active healthy lifestyle but you have to have patiences and motivation for all that and thats something thats hard but doable. But if your like me then you go through phases of having those character traits but it comes in waves. Could be the illness could be the med idk i just know that those two factors are definately important to have.
With 15mg risperidone I had low libido and erectile dysfunction

I’m on Invega 9mg and i have a high sex drive. A little increased breast nothing unusual. Other than that, i have extrapyramidal side effect from it
I get Risperidone 3mg per day and an injection of Paliperidon 100 per month. I have no sex drive, had high weight gain and I´m sure that I developed enlarged breasts. My Vision is just a little bit blurry.
I am on 12mg oral paliperidone daily but I use Abilify to counteract the prolactin issues. I have still had weight gain and sexual dysfunction, constipation is also a problem.
Luckily no man boobs yet even with my gut, I am thanking aripiprazole for that.
