What kind of plate?
Like a big dinner plate
But special
Dark blue
With lines from the centre
lol!
That’s great! I have my own special coffee cups…favorite spoons and plates as well. I’m sure he’ll love it!
Is this a hint to get him to cook more for the family?
Thanks !
Yes, he gave his dad a special bowl once thinking about it…
that was a good breakfast cereal bowl which he used a lot I think
God no he can’t make scrambled eggs
My Dad just turned 84.
My daughter (his granddaughter) bought him a coffee mug which says “I’d Rather Be Curling”
He loved it!
This is getting reassuring xx
I think most everyone has their fave bowl, plate or cutlery in the kitchen.
When all of the good cups are dirty, sometimes you have to use that lousy old cup that hangs around the back of the cupboard…but only if you’re desperate.
Like when you run out of laundry. We all have that lousy back-up pair of underwear. For the women it has the broken elastic…for the men, the button is missing on the crotch. And yet we keep them anyways for emergency wear.
Yea, I’m probably going to have to wash the plate quite a lot
It’s true, the old knickers should really go in the bin
I have a ceramic coffee mug with my name on it…dated 1976. I got it at a hockey tournament when I was 10 years old.
That’s right. I’ve been using it as a sugar bowl for 44years!
My sister had a favourite mug for about 14 years…
Some reason it fell in half one day when I put in a teabag and then boiling water!
Good idea to keep it as a sugar bowl
Sounds like a great gift!
My mother gifts plates to family sometimes. Its not stupid. Its useful.
He really likes it.
mother in law is here, served soup and bread and then lemon drizzle cake
Used the plate for the bread
…or a t-shirt print with his picture you going to wear. Maybe saying:thats my man.
