Vraylar didn’t work for you?

Its a schizophrenia med?
Its a sodium-channel blocker without affecting dopamine but still Wikipedia says its used to treat schizophrenia. Never heard of it.

I kind of broke again on Vraylar. I was switching off of risperdal, but then my condition deteriorated pretty severely. I’m just now understanding that I was pretty delusional. I did lose weight on Vraylar, but I think that comes second to my schizophrenia. And no, I didn’t have any addiction issues with it.

It doesn’t block D1 dopamine receptors so some say its the best for negative symptoms.
I wanted to try it but my psychiatrist said its not available in Canada☹️

This is the most intelligent thing I’ve seen on the forum in the last year. This is exactly the reason I no longer have a tough time with this disease. I’m so sensitive to side effects, so treatment resistant, and I pissed off so many county doctors with my constant complaints about how the meds weren’t good enough. It literally took between two and three years to land on my current medication regimen, and an AP brand and dose that worked perfectly without side effects. Had I stayed complacent on my Seroquel, I’d be 50 pounds heavier, having night terrors, and if I had stayed on the Invega shot I’d be pacing in circles for hours. Thankfully I do none of those things on 7.5mg Zyprexa.
Just wanted to give huge kudos to that statement. I’d list the drugs I’ve been on but I’ve forgotten half of them, and a lot of them were for the bipolar I had before I was schizoaffective.

That’s what I have tried. I only take 5 plus fish oil, Benedryl and a multivitamin.
And Viagara if you want to count that.
