POLL: how many different psych meds have you been tried on?

I think I may have made a thread like this before, like maybe a year or two ago, but whatever.

I just counted my meds in my head and this is what I came up with.

I’ve been on eight different AP’s: Zyprexa, Seroquel, Risperdal, Latuda, Abilify tablets, Abilify injections (current med), Haldol (current med), and Aristada injections.

I’ve been on four different mood stabilizers: Depakote, lithium, Tegretol, and Lamictal (current med).

I’ve been on eight different AD’s: Prozac, Wellbutrin (current med), Effexor, Celexa, Lexapro, Zoloft, Paxil, and Cymbalta (current med).

I’ve been on four different anxiety meds: Klonopin, Ativan, Vistaril and Buspar.

If I did the math right in my head, that’s 24 different psych meds.

I’m not counting the sleep med (trazodone) I’ve taken, even though it’s an AD, or the propranolol or Cogentin taken for side effects.

I’ve been on psych meds for 19 years, though I should’ve started meds five years before I did; I just suffered in silence as a teenager.

I have only ever been on APs and Benzos.

I have been on Latuda, Olanzapine, Haloperidol, Aripiprazole, Risperidone and now my current one, Amisulpride.

I have only taken Lorazepam and Diazepam for Benzos.

I had to take procyclidine for a while too

Yeah, perhaps I should’ve mentioned I have schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type, not schizophrenia. I suppose schizoaffective disorder is obvious from the meds I’ve been on, though.

I don’t know right off. I will count. Zoloft, Zyprexa, Geodon, Seroquel, Latuda, Wellbutrin, Paxil, Xanax and Klonopin.

I won’t count things I have been prescribed for sleep. So I think that’s 9.

Just two Aps, risperdal and Invega.

On a lot of other meds.

Three antipsychotics and probably 7 or so anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. I’ve been on zyprexa and effexor for well over a decade now and happy with my lot so unless something groundbreaking comes out there’s no changes for me in store!

Pff. Oxazepam, seroquel, haldol (50 times on and off), efexor, lorazepam, lormetazepam, zoloft, abilify, zyprexa, temazepam. In that order, except for the haldol that came back all the time. That is a lot!

I’ve been on just about everything. I can’t even remember the names of most. Thus I am on the ‘last resort’ med clozapine. Its working okay so far.

I was given geodon at the hospital, then prescribed risperidone when I got out and it’s been my antipsychotic ever since. As far as other meds go, I’ve been on cogentin to offset the more annoying side effects of risperidone (it’s no longer being prescribed to me and I don’t know why? and I’m too passive to ask), the antidepressant lexapro (hated it, it made me so much worse), buspirone for anxiety which I still take to this day (doesn’t seem terribly effective though… maybe I’d notice a difference if I stopped it? which I don’t intend to so whatever), and paxil for depression which has helped me immeasurably, A+++ med. Sorry for the novel lol.

I forgot to mention that I’m on Wellbutrin, too–the max dose. It’s okay I guess.

Wellbutrin ER, Citalopram, Aripiprazole and Risperidone.

Risperidone is currently the only psych med I’m taking.

Three antipsychotics, about eight antidepressants, lamotrigine, pregabalin, and a few assorted meds haha

seroquel, risperidone, lamictal, tegretol, prozac, welbutrin, effexor, paxil, zoloft, cymbalta, trazadone, abilify, rexulti, haldol, lithium, xanax, ativan, buspar, vistaril, klonopin, geodon, latuda, remeron, amitriptyline, cogentin, saphris, celexa, desipramine, so 28 meds

Ones I was on as a kid: fluoxetine, ariprazole methylphenidate I forget any others
As a teenager: carbamazepine, lamotrigine
Adult: lamotrigine, lorazepam, clonazepam, amphetamine salts, bupropion, escitalopram, mirtazapine, venlafaxine, olanzapine. Offered Haldol and depakote at the hospitals but I’ve refused them.

I tried antipsychotics in that order : my first was olanzapine, → paliperidone -->aripiprazole → quetiapine, → amisulpride (currently on 250 mg/d) & clozapine (currently on 25 mg /d)

I tried antidepressants : my first was reboxetine but now i am on sertraline 50 mg /d and bupropion 300 mg
