Hey I’m new to the site and wanted to ask ya’ll a question? Does anybody know if Cymbalta causes noticable side affects with a person who is schizophrenic?
It does have side effects like most psych meds. You can do a simple google search…
What you need to know is if specific side effects continue through the course of your treatment or subside? Sometimes side effects can be prevalent early and subside after treatment.
What is causing you problems? Others may know either way but it’s always something to talk to your doctor about before changing/stopping.
Hey how are you? Thanks for responding. For a long time I rejected and refused to accept the fact that I have schizophrenia. I don’t know why other than I didn’t want that certain stigma attached to me. But now talking about it and accepting it makes me feel better. Its to describe how I feeling exactly. I feel this extra presence that goes with me everywhere and it is so draining. Whether I’m sober or not something somehow is sapping me of energy. Does that sound strange?
Nothing is strange around here. Most of us hit the mental health system pretty hard. We end up psychotic and believing a lot of very strange things. Acceptance is good. It means your on the path to wellness. Give up the drugs and booze. It only holds you back.
You sound like your in the right place. You might just learn some things from the people here. It’s always about efficiency of your meds versus the side effects…
Nice. That’s how I prefer to look at it also. The effeciency over the side effects. I’ve never become a member of a forum like this before and I’m glad I joined. There is so so much to learn from others. It’s quite beautiful actually.
