What are your experiences with Medicaid dentistry? I have found the service to be pretty terrible. The dentist likes to wait to take out cavities, and the cleaning isn’t very thorough.
It takes months to see someone. Like at least 6 months often to make an appointment
I don’t know…medicaid paid $1600 the other day for me to get a crown put on (i paid $300 out of pocket), so i can’t really complain. I thought they were going to have to pull that tooth but they managed to save it.

Oh that’s really good @WhiteRaven
When you go to a Medicaid dentist with a tooth problem they are more likely to tell you to have it pulled when often the tooth can be saved.
The drawback for me is that there is really only one Medicaid dentist in my area who will do root canals and the registration process just to see her for a consultation is so arduous that I have begun the process three times but quit each time before I finished because they wanted so much information and they wanted me to upload the last x-rays from my dentist and a bunch of other things.
And you can’t talk to her on the phone, everything is through email which have to be precisely in a format that they use.
Yeah, I went to a Medicaid doctor about three years ago and she wanted to pull four teeth and redo some crowns. I said no, and three years later one of those teeth was pulled and I had a root canal done and my last checkup was fine. Medicaid did pay for one crown though it denied me another.
