May I have your permission to know something

I found teaching barriers about things like sex and money .Parents sometimes don’t want their kids to know.

My parents never taught me about sex and money. I had to figure it out myself.

Yes, but I agonized trying to put what I heard into ordered knowledge.

My parents didn’t teach me anything about sex. But they certainly showed me what not to do with money.

Once my aunt said the truth shall set you free as we were all sitting in the family room my mother father and others.

This happened after I was diagnosed and I blurted out I can’t stop masturbating.

My mother now has PTSD from me saying that and She told the psychiatrist and the psychiatrist wanted me to stop saying things like that.

We teach our kids sex education and money management. We consider it part of their education. They are uncomfortable topics for sure, but need to be addressed.

Sex talk was avoided until I was in my twenties.

My parents were always careful with the little money they had. And clueless about how to make more
