Mashed potato

Today I made Gordon Ramsay’s mashed potato.

I hope I got the recipe correct.

I boiled potato and I mashed (he presses them)

I cooked cream on low heat with six garlic cloves (1person),bay leaf, nutmeg.
Cooked that for a few minutes then dived it on to the potato and mixed n mashed.

It was delicious and I had that with leftover schnitzel from yesterday.

I have not watched Gordon Ramsay’ for a while now.

That’s my New Year’s Eve dinner oh and I had salad with home grown tomato too.

Sived not dived…

So I drained away the garlic n bay leaf …

That was not put in the mash but was just used to add flavour to the cream n then mash.

Do you leave the skin on the potato? I like mashed potatoes with skins.

Mashed potatoes were hard when I tried making them from scratch. I just followed the instructions on my friends Homechef and it didn’t come out great.

You probably could arrange something if you wash it thouroughly but mashing or pressing with the skin may be more difficult or leave you with skin bits .

I heard skins are very healthy so it’s good to leave them on when roasting potato or boiling …

I’m not the one to ask really Gordon Ramsay’ is:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::slightly_smiling_face:

In Sweden they would use powder mash that they fed the children at school lunch but it was popular to use powder mash in Sweden and in the army too.

Some people live it.

I think I’d have to be desperately hungry to eat powder mash they call it Smash here
